Tomorrow will be April 1st – April Fool’s Day! When did April 1st become April Fool’s Day? Why is this day filled with funny practical jokes and silliness? Some researchsays it dates back to Geoffrey Chaucer’s, The Canterbury Tales. Other research says it was a way of celebrating the changing of the seasons!
However, it became to be – April 1st is a day of practical jokes! There are some jokes that can be very funny – a hallway full of cups of water, toothpaste filled Oreo’s and a bowl full of m&m’s, skittles and reeses pieces or freaking out your teenage kids by telling them you are pregnant! That last one always got my kids! LOL!
To me April 1st is such a happy day of the year! There’s more sunlight to each day, the trees are starting to bud and the robins are chirping away! April 1st is a sign that winter is over and spring is on its way! I also happen to love April because it’s my birthday month, along with my son’s too!
