The International Women’s Day

The first International Day of the Women was in 1911. It is supported by over 1 million people today! Some of you, like me, may be asking, What is The International Women’ Day all about? I did some research and this is what I found out:

The mission of this day is to support women to earn and learn on their own terms and in their own way. The Avon company is a very big supporter of The International Women’s Day. They believe they are more than just a beauty company. Avon is helping to empower women, help them thrive in business and to help improve women’s lives internationally!

This day just doesn’t just end on March 8th. It is meant to continue to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. This is a day that is shining a bright light on equality for women all over. #WD2020 or #EachforEqual

With all of the successes that women are making towards equality, there is still much that needs to be done! Women need to celebrate other Women’s accomplishments, without being catty! Women have to stop apologizing for everything, Men don’t! We need to be proud of all of our accomplishments! Whether those accomplishments are as simple as getting the laundry done or getting that 1 Million Dollar deal! I have learned in my 57 years on this earth, that we need to respect and embrace our differences! Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors and they all need to be embraced for their unique qualities!

So as you can see, Women have come a long way, we need to get out of our ways and continue to thrive, grow and have equality always with everyone everywhere!
